Bio

Actor, singer, and voice-over artist Paul Bellantoni has been in constant demand both on stage and in the studio since returning to New York in 2006 after 5 years abroad.

Theater

Paul's recent theater work includes a powerful King Duncan and a skittish Doctor in Macbeth, the medieval baron and broadsword master Max von Murligstein in the combat-filled Sword Politik, and as Fred, the irascible but loveable dad, in Never Norman Rockwell at the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

Trained in NY as an actor, with a degree from NYU, Paul has appeared in Equity Showcases and Off-Broadway in Wuthering Heights.

Commercial

Paul's commercial work includes Alan, the goofy and romantic dad, in a series of commercials and webisodes for Western Pest Services, and the hapless office sad-sack, Bob, in a commercial for Regus Offices.

Voice-over

Paul is renowned for wide variety of voice-over work. Recent character work includes the snarky British host of a travel show pilot, as well as Italian, French, German, Russian, and Dutch characters in documentaries, video games, museum exhibits and audio books.

He "voiced" the title role in Macbeth and Bassanio in The Merchant of Venice for Talking Shakespeare, a series of condensed audio books. Paul is also the voice of Luther the demented hangman and the Creepy MC at the Silverwood theme park in Idaho.

Non-character work includes national and regional commercials, including Kraken Rum, Chloraseptic, and Bay Resorts, several book trailers, and the role of The Projectionist in a song by the band Blood Ruby.

Opera

In his opera career from 1992 to 2005, he sang over 50 roles across the US, Europe, and the Caribbean. He performed the title characters in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and gave a solo concert at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Paul sang the lead role Gabriel in the world premiere of The Dead, based on the James Joyce story, and Horace Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe's 40th Anniversary Production, in the house for which it was written—Central City Opera.

Take Him Home

Recordings include his solo album Heroes and Villains (Metco Records) and the cast recording of The Ballad of Baby Doe (Newport Classics). Paul is the author of So You Wanna Sing in Germany?, a guide for young opera singers, released in print in 2008—and soon as an audio book.
